Oh, what a delight! Montalcino is a culinary treasure, and we stumbled upon some gems like Re di Macchia for authentic flavors just steps away. Our room had breathtaking views, and the service? Top-notch, thanks to Elisa and Elanora, who made us feel right at home. Plus, sipping on chilled Prosecco by the pool was simply heavenly!

However, one of our rooms had an AC that was more of a gentle breeze than a cold blast. It didn't quite cool down as we'd hoped, but with everything else shining, we hardly let it faze us!

The view from our room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the Val d'Orcia hills. Eleonora and Elisa provided exceptional hospitality, making us feel right at home from the start. Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, featuring fresh fruits and local meats that made for a delightful start to our day. The pool area, with its comfortable garden furniture, was perfect for cooling off. However, the air conditioning in our room left much to be desired, functioning more as a gentle breeze than effective cooling. Additionally, the lack of an elevator made accessing our second-floor room a bit inconvenient, especially with luggage. Nevertheless, the ambiance and local restaurant recommendations were fantastic, contributing to a memorable stay.

The views over the Val d'Orcia during breakfast were simply breathtaking! The room was spacious and clean, but the AC was not cooling well. Still, a wonderful stay overall! ☀️

The views are enchanting. too bad the breakfast consisted of old, dry croissants and hard bread, which left much to be desired. I also had to suffer through a room with an AC that barely worked. Special treatment would have been nice, but I guess they saved the star treatment for others.

Vecchia Oliviera is a gem of a hotel, offering stunning views over the Val d'Orcia, especially while enjoying breakfast on the terrace. The rooms are simply decorated yet comfortable, and the service provided by Eleonora and Elisa is exceptional, making guests feel genuinely welcomed. The location is perfect for exploring the town of Montalcino, with easy access to local restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance.

The room’s air conditioning struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, merely functioning as a gentle breeze rather than effective cooling. WiFi connectivity was a major headache, with inconsistent service denying access for the first few days and providing slow speeds afterward. The swimming pool's early closing time at 7 PM during summer seemed unwarranted, inhibiting evening leisure. Additionally, some design choices obstructed fantastic views, such as high balcony walls and hedges in the pool area.

the outdoor pool was perfect for cooling off after sunbathing, and the bar service provided stylishly chilled prosecco. the breakfast was abundant, featuring delicious local meats, cheeses, and pastries, enjoyed with breathtaking views.

The location was perfect for exploring the town. The breathtaking views while having breakfast on the veranda added to the charm of the stay. The breakfast selection was fantastic, with fresh fruit and homemade cakes that exceeded my expectations.
